Fauxcahontas is back in the news. She secretly hired a university geneticist (aka a Democrat) to sample her DNA (which was done privately in case the result wasn’t what she wanted). She wished to confirm for the world and for Goad Emperor Trump that she was, indeed, American Indian and thus eligible for affirmative action bennies. Trump had successfully goaded Warren into desperately seeking external validation.

Except even that 0.2% is misleading, as it turns out the analysis didn’t test for Native American DNA (it used samples from Peru, Mexico, and Colombia, a very loose genetic proxy for, say, the Cherokee that Elizabeth Warren has claimed for herself).

And like a few commenters here I’m very surprised she didn’t get away with it. I mean it All blew up in her very white face. There was the math error that made it at 10 generations she was 1 / 1024 Indian. Those kinds of basic math errors have been all over climate change journalism for years nobody would challenge. But now bam! we have someone who actually got them to correct the story.
It’s also interesting that people but 2 and 2 together and realized that what that DNA test really was saying is she’s 1023 / 1024 white. Which is very white.
Also she is from Oklahoma a state founded on land runs that began around the mid 1800s. Which is at best 5 or so generations back. If her supposed ancestor was 10 generations back that would imply being Indian somewhere else in the world not in Oklahoma as there were no white people in what would become Oklahoma at that time.
Also what is extremely odd is she claims a great grandmother (or some great mother) was Indian. If that were the case then she would have Mitochondrial DNA which would be a Haplogroup associated with North American Indians. Mitochondrial DNA is only passed via mothers. So it would be the most straightforward to show she was Indian. I’m willing to bet serious money she tried that but it came up all White. That’s why this Statistical DNA scam was used.
And another thing Modern Humans, by the same DNA statistical method, have 1 to 4 percent of Neanderthal DNA in them. This means that she has 10 to 40 Times as much Neanderthal in her DNA as American Indian.
Which explains those high cheekbones better, and her being attractiveness challenged.

These DNA tests are only accurate to within 2%. So anything less than 2% you can discard as statistical noise. Even at the most generous interpretation, putting Elizabeth Warren at 6 generations removed, that is only 1.5% DNA… well within the realm statistical noise. Her DNA results say absolutely diddly squat about her having Native Indian heritage. Even with the most positive spin possible.

It would be interesting to find out whether the tiny Native American ancestry is from her father’s side (Y chromossome) or her mother’s side (mitocondrial DNA). That is easy to ascertain, and was notably missing in the press-releases.
Her story about their parents “eloping” because her MOTHER was allegedly part indian would become hilarious if it turns out the ancestry is from her father. That would mean her mother is actually as white and “native american-free” in her ancestry as science can tell.
