I love it… we are starting to get our sense of humor back, something that won us 2016. It seems we lost that for about a year and half (due to banning, infighting, etc). The NPC meme, like Pepe and other ZFG humor, is the same type of shive comedy that separated us from the f@gs we are up against. We need more than truth. We need to be funny, braver, more ZFG against the establishment. We may if got it back, just in time.

Mike Enoch had a good take on the NPC meme on The Daily Shoah on wednesday. The first hour of the show is worth a listen. They are kind of goofballs but mike nailed the content.
The NPC meme is particularly hard for intelligent credentialed leftists to cope with because they have a huge ego investment in the superiority of their intellect (they are better than all those dumb redneck trump supporters) and it really burns them that anyone would dare to imply that they their self-righteous ideology is not the result of independent thought but rather brainwashing. It is also humorous that they can accurately describe the meme, but fail to show how it’s wrong. They just respond with outrage, which just confirms the meme.
They never answer the question: Where’s the lie?

Because the superiority of their intellect was the appeal to “authority” that they were relying on in lieu of having to openly debate their positions in uncontrolled public forums (of the commons).
Like in published papers that are truly open to scholarly critique from people who can’t get fired for that critique.
The NPC meme ingeniously takes that self-granted and self-referential authority away with an accusation (you’re not better in a manner that automatically invalidates your opponent’s positions) that leaves their arguments unprotected and, in the social sphere, in need of vigorous defense.
What are the possible responses?
Try to argue their points in forums that require them to be successfully defended against all comers?
That would allow them to regain their authority (or claim to) if successful, but they can’t do that because their positions were always dependent on lying and oppressing critics.
To not do anything?
They could do that, but it will look bad and be increasingly difficult as the NPC memes effortlessly keep rolling in year after year to call attention to the fact that they aren’t actually defending any of their positions but instead relying on repetition and critic suppression.
The later tactic is probably their overall best option, but it means that everything will accelerate for them in the political sphere. They need time to advance their plans, and this will take that away. It essentially more or less unsticks the public debate from the stalled position that they count on.

I thought the Left and the Right we’re pretty much in their own sandboxes after the Great Shuttening of 2017. I thought it wasn’t even strategy of the alt-right to try to draw out Lefties anymore: we were supposed to be talking to only Normies and MAGApedes, as a strategy. ??

This NPC thing seems like a different way of describing the Unabomber’s observation about the psychology of leftists, and in particular about them being “over socialized” to strongly believe all the “correct” things. They take their programming on all the current “most important issues ever”, are afraid to think otherwise, and get very worked up if somebody thinks or steps outside the program.
Also, I tend to be generally aware of what’s going on in the edgy-sphere, but I was completely unaware of this whole NPC thing until right before it blew up with Twitter bannings. This all must of happened pretty quickly.

Back at the time, he sent a copy to the Washington Post and New York Times with a demand that they print it or he would keep bombing things. So they did. I assume they printed it accurately at the time so that they wouldn’t upset him and cause him to do more bombing. The Washington post website has what they claim is a faithful reproduction of what was published in 1995. I can’t speak to whether they’re being honest about that, But I don’t have any strong reason to question it.

Whats I find delicious about the NPC meme is it exposes the population to the concept that they are drones TO BE USED to further the group-that-shall-not-be named’s agenda. You are just a tool to be used to destroy yourself and your people.
It implies you are mindless idiot that is being told what to do. It also furthers the concept that there is someone pulling the strings without actually naming the group-that-shall-not-be-named.
The simple fact that the media is losing its mind over it says it has accomplished the above.
