Interesting comment from “don’t tread on me”,
I hang up on all pollsters and here’s why: The MSM, especially TV, is basically a large advertising industry. That is where the money is. When advertising something like ivory soap (99.44% pure, almost as white as Senator Warren), the company paying for the advertisements gets very good feedback on the effectiveness of the advertisements in their sales volume.
The people running the TV news media need/want feedback on the effectiveness of their news stories. They want to know if their news stories are having the desired effect of swaying voters in their desired direction. That is why they pay for the pollsters. They want to know if the voters are responding to their news stories. They use this information to tune their new stories. This is why they don’t care about the pollster’s accuracy in predicting elections. They care about changes in people’s opinion so they can learn how to sway the voters to vote their way.
I don’t want to help them change elections so I hang up on all pollsters so they lose track of how to sway the elections.
Has polling always been a twice weekly endeavor? It seems that updated polls come out every other day now, and for what purpose? Do candidates need hourly voter feedback via polling? Or, as this commenter writes, is it media that needs feedback from the polls to refine their Leftoid Narrative? Most polling outfits are affiliated with Big Chaimstream Media congolmerates. It’s an incestuous relationship that should really raise a lot more eyebrows than it does.
We live in a simulation, a sort of post-culture, when people don’t read news anymore to be informed; the people inform the media via polling and other feedback mechanisms what kind of news emotionally resonates with them, and the media crafts their news stories to push people to feel emotions that align with the media’s objectives. The flood of single women into the media consumer market is why we get shit like “the Republicans’ woman problem” and never its equally true opposite “the Democrats’ man problem”.

Rasmussen tries to be objective. And the predictive value of his surveys is usually high. But apparently, like the rest of the pollsters, he has at times been way off.

It is HARD to do meaningful polls. An early attempt was made by Readers’ Digest, 1048 or so. But the readership was NOT representative, and IIRC, the poll indicated that Dewey would win over Truman. Feh.
The idea of calling people on the phone has been confounded by cellphones, among other things. People under maybe 30 don’t even bother with land lines.
But yes, polls can work differentially, i.e. if you use the same sampling method (even if crappy) several times, the trend seen in the poll might reflect something real. And maybe it helps selling soap…

Everything is fake now.
All of it.
What you see on TV, in the j00vies, or on the Big Tech internet, exists for only two possible purposes: To motivate the Insula-dominant goyim, or to demoralize the Amygdala-dominant goyim.

Who was running for office in 1048 ? What was the serf and oafs party named then and what was their platform ? Was the great gruel shortage a factor ?
I knew Reader’s Digest had been around a while, but damn !

That was William the Conqueror’s first try to be elected King of England.
Obviously it didn’t work out at that time, but a future campaign bore fruit.

I’ll say it again. We live in a world of push polls. Any poll is not really meant to gain information about the populace. It’s to influence the populace.
Everything about a poll is engineered for persuasion. Length, question type, question wording, pollster voice inflection, male or female, it goes on and on.
This is why Trump is such an existential threat to the new lib establishment.
Have you noticed that there was like 3 articles actually asking Red State voters for an explanation about Trump? Why? Because media and political types don’t care what people think.
The media elites are in the business of telling you rubes what to think.
When the rubes went off the reservation in 2016. There was a moment of introspection. But in reality we are dealing with people who are used to working everyone like puppets. They don’t really believe the puppets will start thinking for themselves. No, this is Russian or Trumpian one off reality star black magic.
No way that people would actually realize that Trump’s ability to think clearly about Trade Policy is good for 80% of Americans.
No the rubes just like Trump’s jokes about lyin Ted or Low Energy guys.
This is actually deja vu all over again. It was about a 100 years when there were very influential groups founded in farm country getting politicians elected with mantras of inflationary monetary policy, farm product export trade policy. There were equivalent groups getting together labor and urban people.
And it’s gratifying that many people are actually hungry to hear details about public policy. I mean the Dem did make Health Care a top of mind thing for people to think about. Why not educate people about the issues? Nah the media types want to scare grandma about Medicare being cut.
But maybe just maybe with this fancy new internet thingy, the people are actually educating themselves. Wouldn’t that be a surprise to the media elites?

Good post. Think of women and their herd orientation. They see a poll on TV that says “99% of good people think orange man bad”.
Not wanting to be in the minority of bad people, they automatically jump on the bandwagon.
A lot of men are like that too.
Typically not the type of men you’ll see here, at the gym, or outside working hard.
It’s the estrogenized urban soylets that tend to conformity IME.

I do the complete opposite. If they ask leading or biased questions I call them out on their bullshit. If they’re more free-form answers I give them answers to all the questions that would make the John Birch Society look like a bunch of NPC soy-boys. We’re talking things like Full-On “Elian Gonzalez style” mass deportations and revocations of citizenship of extended families when asked about immigration, etc.

Question for CH:
Which is more important to a woman?
Race, or chad genes(face, height, agression/assertiveness)?
Would a woman rather fuck a chad-but-black Jeremy Meeks, or a full-blooded aryan who is maybe 75% as chadly(i.e. a few inches shorter, not as handsome or muscular etc.).
Not considering social/economic/status factors.

Have you seen the last 12 months of programming? Its nothing but blacks, lesbians, and nonwhite mystery meats.
Even their last installment of “Chef’s Table”, which I loved, is 100% political with the very first “chef” some female taco artist from Latin America who STARTS the episode with some rant about immigration.
Instant hard NEXT on that one.
Next chef is a guy from Turkey who makes half the episode about a memorial about his days fighting for communists or something. I got halfway through and still had no idea what his restaurant does.
Aaaaand off that entire series goes permanently.
If the ratings system hadn’t been pulled to cover for the DISASTER that was Amy Schumer’s episode a few years back their entire lineup lately would be decimated right and left. The comics aren’t funny. The entire content offering produced by them is political regardless of topic. The entire cast is lesbian and brown.
Don’t bother. Why I haven’t cancelled it yet is beyond me. Its the only electric jew I pay shekels for anyway.

had a local demo campaigner (read 60’ish catlady) knocked on my door the other day campaigning for what looked to be some whacko reterd (physiognomy is real) for local senate.
Before she got out who she was campaigning for, I interrupted and said “Dem or Repub candidtate?”
She said “Demo”
I said “You can stop right there, I’m voting right straight down the line this time, your party is completely unhinged and has no message or direction…did you not see the Kav witchhunt?”
She did this weird thing where her eyes closed but still rapidly blinked- like blinking with your eyes closed and made this huge grimace at the same time. when she finally opened her eyes to reengage -which seemed like an eternity- she said “you’re right”, “what has become of society?”
I made a texting gesture
she nodded her head and agreed and went on to say “we don’t talk anymore, we don’t socialize anymore, the youth do not have social skills because of those things…and what is politics if it weren’t for open discussion?”
Pretty odd experience, I expected her to flip. Maybe catlady needed someone to call her on her catladyness and not beta down to what she was pedaling.

That is some keen insight there. May I suggest two (2) names to investigate to better understand the wickedness of modern mind control methods?
Edward Bernays, who wrote a book entitled “Propaganda.” Nothing up his sleeve there.
And William S. Paley, who became the big boss man of CBS after working with the OSS during WWII conducting psychological operations. Hey, nothing up his sleeve either, if one cares to pay attention.

The single most important realization one can have about tv news is the advertising element. They sell adds to make money and the pompous, self important lecturer masquerading as a journalist is only there to keep you from changing channels when the commercials start. They are the direct descendants of the carnival geek, something irritating, ingratiating, or moronically vulgar to get you to come inside or stay for another minute.

It takes 200 phone calls to get one ‘valid’ poll response. Polling is all a scam now due to that fact.
The primary client for polling are Media organizations. The Media is not interested in finding out what people think. They just want something to write a pre-planned narrative around.
This is the classic Patron-Client trap where the client gives the patron what he wants to hear…until close to the election.
That is when he and the other Media client-polling firms cluster so they all can’t be held accountable for screwing up.
Hang up on this scam every chance you are given.
Help these scammers to poison the well by not answering.
So, that they’ll more desperately keep bugging the every declining pool of people who do answer the phone into ignoring it and finally kill the scam.
