Opium and alcohol are the oldest drugs and weren’t invented by the Sacklers.
Oxycodone is a opiate used for mild/moderate pain and is taken orally.
Since it’s used by a lot of chronic pain sufferers the co. developed an extended release formula Oxycontin so instead of taking a pill every few hours you can take 1-2 a day.
This is not for acute pain or chronic acute pain where you would be injecting morphine every few hours(or taking methadone or a fentanyl patch etc).
And as usual the co. promotes their products just as they do non opiate drugs.
A new formulation of an opiate did not cause people to use more because opiates have always been around and btw, real addicts want stuff like morphine, dilaudid, opium etc they can inject not some kid’s stuff similar to codeine like oxycodone.
So aside from some (((media))) crap and hysteria what law has the co. violated. 95% of fatalities were from combinations of drugs not just oxycodone.

Let’s connect some dots, here, to try and make sense of this extraordinary act of not only dismissing ALL 16 felony charges (after a true bill was found by an empaneled Grand Jury), the file was sealed by the Judge, not allowing anyone from the public to have access to it.
Let’s forget the blackness of Jussie Smottlett, for a moment, as mere a smoke (hehe) screen. Here, the important thing may be that he is a homosexual (and maybe a bisexual – like a good many black man). He lives in Chicago, and is connected to Hollywood. Probably gets invited to a lot of private parties, even as a B-string celebrity. Who else of recent fame is from Chicago? Hmmmmm. Well, to start off, there is John Podesta (of Comet Pizza, pedogate fame). You think that Jussie may have had an opportunity or two to cross paths with influential people like Podesta and the other turd-pushers and child buggers running around that town? Is it possible he called in some favors, or made some threats to expose people.
It will be interesting to see if he has an unfortunate, silencing, fatal ‘accident’ in the next couple of months.
