Jesus should look like an Ethiopian, the women should all look like swarthier versions of the princess of Qajar, and in the background should be a depiction of archangel Hitler watching over Christ to allude to his own eventual descent onto Earth, centuries later, as ordained by God to correct the Jews.
Aesthetically, theologically, and physiognomically, this depiction is all all wrong. The only thing they got right was Jesus kicking everyone’s ass for their own good.

Great post, Greg. Agreed, White men and Christians in large part, were DUPED for years into this mindset of “lets just all get a long”. I say NO MORE of this bullshit. Trav has something right, there is some fault to be laid on Mickey Mouse Christians that we find ourselves in these dark times. No more “lets all get along”, no more being friends with ill-intentioned ATHEIST and JEWS like Trav that just come here and disrespects us. Jesus is the representation of Logos. To deny God and Christ is to deny the WORD, the truth.

Christianity is a force for good. If you believe you will somehow become accountable for your actions, this will affect what you do (and even more, what you don’t do).
This works even if the accounting never in fact happens.
The same applies to prayer. If you believe the almighty is listening, this pushes you to be honest with yourself. If it so happens that nobody is listening, it still works.

There is no eternal punishment in hellfire… that would not be justice.
“Hell” is an old English verb for being buried… and “torment” is imprisonment.
For those who, even with the advantage of being schooled through the Judgment Day, nevertheless STILL refuse God, they will perish forever. Death itself will be thrown into the Lake of Fire, and since Death cannot feel pain nor have consciousness, that is proof that that statement means obliteration, as if one thrown paper into fire, and it is burned up and gone forever.
The idea that God would make the majority of mankind suffer pain forever if one of the Devil’s lies, and used by churches, old and new, to scare people and actually do the Devil’s work for him by bringing discredit upon the God who is Just and Merciful, but justice demands that those who continue to refuse His commandments and grace perish forever.
LEARN THE BIBLE, not what some corrupted priests and pastors and minions of Satan have done to the message in order to make rational and good-willed people get led astray.
Repent, and be baptized in the name of Christ, and learn the true Word of God, that you may live more abundantly and free in this world, and forever in the New Earth that is promised by He who CANNOT LIE.

@GE What religion are you a part of, if I may ask? What you talk about here is something of a roadblock to me. The idea of hell as always been hard for me to wrap my head around. It never did seem just to me and based off what we describe it as I always thought someone saying anyone deserved to be there was revolting. An eternity? For a life? I could never set such a punishment for even the worst of people. It just seems excessive.
So, I would very much like to read up on where you are getting this from.

I claim no denomination, but I will say there are several sects who will see in Scripture (and from plain ol’ common sense) that God’s intention never was and never will be to torture folks for an eternity, especially considering the degraded condition we have inherited from Adam’s sin.
If you research something like “annihilation versus eternal suffering” you’ll find many sources on both sides of the discussion, but I think the annihilation argument is the more convincing and sensible, considering all factors related to God’s character and simple justice.
Without doing a tl;dr version, here’s a fast snippet:
Consider Revelation 20:14
Then death and the grave were thrown into the lake of fire. This lake of fire is the second death.
Note that “hell” and “grave” are synonymous throughout the Bible in most verses… indeed, to “hell” something was a common phrase in olden times denoting burial, e.g., “helling away potatoes”.
So here we see in no uncertain terms that when something is thrown into the lake of fire, it perishes… much like anything in the material world that we see consumed by fire. Whether it’s a material item or a concept, casting into the fire can only mean obliteration.
I’ll let you continue your research, and know that for all the alleged verses that SEEM to connote eternal suffering to the untrained Bible reader, there is a full explanation that can be found by the requisite further study and CORRECT translation.

I appreciate this GE, like I said this has been a big hurdle for me. I often times have thought that I would take nothing or “annihilation” every time when the risk was eternal torture instead which always just seemed inconsistent. It also makes sense when it is said that to be merely in his presence is so magnificent that to simply not be in his light is hellish in comparison which again, seems far more just. At any rate it undermines a lot of the bull shit that leftists and ….others would like you to believe and try to use to get you to stray. I am happy to do further reading on this.

IIRC, the Bible does not actually mention hellfire etc. in the Protestant version. The Roman Catholic version of the OT contains about 7 extra books, and various extensions of some pre-existing ones, such as Danilel and Esther.
More importantly, extra books include 1st and 2nd Maccabees, where hellfire is described. The extra books are “deuterocanonical” to Catholics, “Apocrypha” to Protestants, i.e. interesting but not holy writ.

The Catholic/Eastern Orthodox Bibles are the authoritative canonical Bible. The ecumenical council set what books belong in the Bible. Protestant versions are only revisionist smorgasborg picking of what we want.
The protestants wouldn’t even have Christianity without the original One Holy Catholic Church.

Had the Catholic church held steadfast against Satan’s machinations, politics and popular opinion, and not succumbed to the POZ and “liberation theology”, you might have a case.
As it is, your churches became just as cucked as the many of the Protestants, although I will give you that some of the more liberal Prot churches are no better than synagogues of Satan.
In short, ALL have fallen short of the glory of God, and if you want to play “my church is better than your church”, there are plenty of no-name Protestant houses preaching the True Word of God, immaterial of what popular opinion demands, and the small size of their congregations are much larger in God’s eyes than the most splendid cathedrals.

In re Christ’s words, I believe you’re misusing the term, and need to consider the difference between what is (in the current state of the mankind) and what will be (once God’s Plan, through Christ, comes to fruition). A new world is promised, and Death itself will be thrown into the Lake of Fire.

When Jesus called out the Pharisees, he was calling out religion (man’s trying to reach God) (Despite the great chasm between them). God wants a relationship with mankind, wants to bring them into eternity with Himself. Jesus bridged the chasm, tore the veil in twain. We now have access to the Father through the Son.
Satan loves religion, and he appropriates all worship that is not in Spirit and in Truth, for himself.

I’m a member of a small strain of Baptists, the Primitive Baptists. No one has ever really heard of us, except some old Southern Baptist preachers. You can argue all day about points of doctrine, and you definitely would if we had a discussion on how billions of non Christians can be doomed to hell simply by being born at the wrong time and place.
But in a foxhole, we fight for Jesus. I will oppose the mussulman hordes next to a Catholic, a Lutheran, or even a Methodist.
I felt the burning of Notre Dame as acutely as any Catholic should, because I recognize that our enemies draw no such distinction. They don’t care whether they have a Baptist, Catholic, Lutheran, etc. head on a pike, as long as it’s a Christian head.
We’re in for a fight. Let’s win, and show those hordes the true strength of the men of the west.

As to my take, I’ll just note the last verse is made of those very short truncated lines (unlike the lines about Barabbas) which read as though a beaten prisoner is gruelingly making one halting step after another.
