SCIENCE!: American Women Are Becoming Less Feminine

Longtime Chateau guests know I’m keen to *preen* when the pretext is right. But sometimes even an egregious preening can’t sufficiently convey the tumescence of my stroked ego when SCIENCE! lands a study in my lap that grinds me to completion.

A recurrent theme at CH is the personal observation that American women are becoming less feminine. As it so happens, CH was right! A new study finds that, hey, American women are becoming less feminine.

Masculine and Feminine Traits on the Bem Sex-Role Inventory, 1993–2012: a Cross-Temporal Meta-Analysis

The Bem Sex-Role Inventory (BSRI) is one of Sandra Bem’s most notable contributions to feminist psychology, measuring an individual’s identification with traditionally masculine and feminine qualities. In a cross-temporal meta-analysis of U.S. college students’ scores on the BSRI (34 samples, N = 8,027), we examined changes in ratings on the Bem masculinity (M) and femininity (F) scales since the early 1990s. Additional analyses used data collected in a previous meta-analysis (Twenge 1997) to document changes since the BSRI’s inception in 1974. Our results reveal that women’s femininity scores have decreased significantly (d  = −.26) between 1993 and 2012, whereas their masculinity remained stable. No significant changes were observed for men. Expanded analyses of data from 1974 to 2012 (94 samples, N = 24,801) found that women’s M rose significantly (d  = .23), with no changes in women’s F, men’s M, and men’s F. Women’s androgyny scores showed a significant increase since 1974, but not since 1993. Men’s androgyny remained the same in both time periods. Our findings suggest that since the 1990s, U.S. college women have become less likely to endorse feminine traits as self-representative, potentially revealing a devaluation of traditional femininity. However, it is also possible that the scale items do not match modern gender stereotypes. Future research may need to update the BSRI to reflect current conceptions of gender.

This is yuge… (news, as well as study sample size.) The implications in the study’s findings about the transformation of the American sexual market are profound. If American women are becoming less feminine, then American men will find them less attractive, especially as long-term investment vehicles for marriage and family. And that is what the data show; the overall marriage rate is down and the age of first marriage is up, coinciding with the period during which women have lost their feminine charms.

Men are dropping out because women are leaning in. Way to go, feminist harpies!

In the big picture, female femininity has declined over the last generation or two because of feminist indoctrination and social signals encouraging and celebrating the abandonment of femininity.

In the bigger picture, widely and cheaply available birth control, abortion, obesity, processed food toxins, and female economic self-sufficiency have all conspired to denude women of their femininity and to impel women to adopt masculine posturing.

In the biggest picture, the loss of American women’s femininity is exactly what one would expect to see in a culture that is unmooring from its historical K-selected, predominantly White biomechanical foundation (patriarchal, high paternity certainty, slender women with low cock counts) and drifting toward an r-selected, increasingly nonWhite society (matriarchal, low paternity certainty, muscular and obese women with high cock counts) similar to the African sexual market norm, (where men more than anywhere else in the world are “dancing monkeys” for women and the women toil in the fields and bring home the bacon while crapping out kids from behind-the-bush trysts with multiple fathers).

When men’s sexuality is maximally restricted, and women’s sexuality is released of all constraints, the inevitable result is a dispiritingly corporate romantic market of supplicating male lackeys and aggro “slut positive” careergrrl chubsters whose very financial independence (government gibsmedats by any name) obviates the need to be more pleasing and feminine to attract beta male providers with tight resource sharing Game.

An unfeminine androgyne is the New World Woman, and she is letting men know they aren’t worth her effort to please, (and her unkempt vagina has seen lots of action DEAL WITH IT).

Another Battlefront Opens In The Diversity Wars

File this latest salvo in the Diversity + Proximity = War reference list: a lovefact-filled article about the intersection of natural disasters with minority rule.

For the second time in a year, Houston — the fourth largest city in the US and the largest in Texas — is under water. While the rainfall was huge, the response was poor. No actual solutions are being discussed in the media. The reason for this blackout brings together troubling issues of race, population, environmentalism and industry.

Contrary to most stereotypes of Texas, Houston is a diverse cosmopolitan city that is 75% non-white — and climbing. Most of these non-whites are Hispanics from Central America, Asians, Indians and African-Americans. The latter group is declining as it is pushed out of its traditional neighborhoods by gentrification and its replacement in traditional sources of income by Hispanics and Asians.

Typical SWPL secretly thinks, “Yay! Crime will go down with fewer blacks!” What typical SWPL never imagines: “There are more ways to feel like a stranger in your own land than by the number of muggings you have to tolerate.”

While gentrification gets a bad rap in New York, here it is beloved by minorities on an individual level and bemoaned on a collective level. Individuals do not mind getting $400,000 for a house they paid $50,000 for only a decade or two ago, but groups notice the “diversity tension” which is that they feel like aliens in their own communities. At a certain crucial threshold, the original group simply moves out en masse.

“Alien-ness” is a concept our leftoid anti-White genocidists ought to consider in terms beyond glowing approval. Every race on earth* — yes, even GoodWhite liberals — feels more comfortable living among its own kind.

*With the possible exception of blacks, who love moving into White-run cities for the gibs and then bitching about White racism. Perhaps it’s more accurate to say the people of every race on earth feel more warmth and harmony toward neighbors who look like themselves.

Affirmative action dominates the construction industry where it overlaps with government. Where the private sector is dependent on cheap Hispanic labor to make larger profits, the government agencies give preference to minority- and woman-owned businesses. As a result, public works projects frequently move slowly and involve high costs, as seen with union labor in the past.

In addition, minority standards of construction are more like those one would find in Mexico or Vietnam. The development industry has standardized nearly every form of construction as a result. Homes are made of standard wooden frames designed to fit a pattern, covered in insulation and sheetrock, and then filled with pre-fabricated fixtures, door frames, floors, cabinets, doors and wiring. These are designed to be idiot-proof and quick to install. This enables the industry to use unskilled labor as if it were skilled, saving costs.

“Idiot-proof” = “dull shoebox houses”. Funny how a push for race and sex Diversity™ has resulted in a notable lack of housing design diversity.

Most renovation and much of construction is done through the use of “day laborers,” or mostly Hispanic men who sit at the edges of the parking lots of Home Depot and Loewes and other home construction businesses. Trucks pull up, shout out an offer for the day’s work, and then pick up a half-dozen men to go do a job. These groups follow a kind of “buddy system” where if at least one member of the group has some experience, the rest go along with it and do what he says. A network of mostly white but also Asian and African-American “contractors” make a good living by hiring day laborers, paying them relatively little, and taking the profits which are widened by lower labor costs.

Consequently standards of construction have plummeted. Homes fall apart; doors hang at odd angles; mysterious fires are more frequent. Since government is now also minority-dominated, each group represents itself. If the workers at a home that falls down are Hispanic, and the government officials investigating are Hispanic, the event is more likely to be classified as mysterious instead of a solution found.

Corruption, malfeasance, incompetence, bribery, nepotism… these are the curses of Diversity shoved down the throat of White America (getting less White by the day). Sad! At least the lawyers will have plenty of work. (((heh)))

A whole second string of industry has sprung up with pale Asian and white experts who are called in at high cost to fix what the contractors and city inspectors missed.

When things go south, bring the White men out.

The result is that a city with little infrastructure has more than doubled its population, changed its character and abilities from that of a mostly English-German city to a mostly Hispanic-Asian one, and has paved itself in roads, parking lots and driveways. The resulting changes have been vast. Air currents now move far to the north of the concrete wasteland, changing weather patterns and resulting in hotter temperatures; here, summer begins in April and ends in mid-September. Water runoff has become a large problem but the public works are not up to the task, so it floods.

I bet (White) environmentalists are pissed about this assault on nature and good taste. What do they have to say?

Where have environmental groups been in this whole process? Environmental groups are staffed by trust fund kids from the dying white establishment and the diversity/affirmative action hires who accept the lower pay for shorter hours. This pairs people with no sense of reality with people who could care less about being effective. […]

Environmental groups have followed a strategy of trying to save species rather than trying to save land. […] As a result, the species there are overpopulated and dying off, and very little land is set aside for nature.

To fix the problems of Houston and its flooding would require interventions that are politically unsustainable. Some developments would have to be removed to make way for more open land, which would not be park land and so would anger local residents. These communities would likely be either traditional minority communities in the process of gentrification, at which point the remaining minority residents would be rallied to protest “racism,” or new communities which minority groups hope to move into to live the American Dream™. Any action to cut down on concrete and over-development would also anger the oil and development industries.

In Houston, we see a microcosm of the problem in the West: incompetent and morally rotten whites exploiting the situation for personal gain, including the importation of cheap third-world labor to make those profits fatter, paired up with a community more like that of Mexico or Vietnam where people simply do not care and cannot fix these problems. For all it is like winning the lottery: money pouring through the door for easy work, so enjoy it and forget about tomorrow.

I bolded a part that deserves more emphasis in discussions about immigration and open borders. Fact is, many nonWhite migrants and invaders from the less pleasing nations of the world are habituated to extreme apathy by the lifestyles they were accustomed to in their homelands before they absconded to the US to make anchor baby great again. Vast regions of the world are populated by blissfully ignorant peasant stock and bootlicker strivers who, through habit or disposition, accept “the way things are” even when that way means living in squalor and watching on the sidelines as a nepotistic parade of crooks and con men loot their nation’s fisc.

So a hearty congratulations to America’s ruling class for diligently overseeing the importation of tens of millions of these apathetic cheap labor cogs and public teat sucklers! You’ve got your obedient indentured brown servants who will consume your cheap Chinese-made throwaway trinkets and nail-by-number plasticine death-trap houses while dutifully voting your oligarch lefty buddies into office for lifetime, and generational, terms of nation-destroying service. And you also enjoy the self-aggrandizing benefit of fewer and fewer salt of the earth Whites remaining who are the only group capable of successfully rebelling against your depredations and ousting you from power.

But that was the point all along. And that’s why a revolution looms, despite your best efforts to quash it under a mountain of hivemind equalist agit-prop with the help of your SJW useful toolbags.

Why White Knights Are Bad For Women

Michelle Fields is a former reporter/present attention whore who was canned from her job at Breitbart for making up a story about Trump’s campaign manager Corey Lewandowsky manhandling her and pushing her to the floor at a speaking event. She bubbled over to Twatter to show off her forearm bruise, and White Knights like Ben Shapiro jumped to her defense, choosing to take the word of a halfway decent-looking woman with slut eye at face value before the facts were in.

Security cam footage emerged a day after the incident clearly showing Fields suffered no assault beyond the jostling typical of a crowded room (she had claimed she was violently assaulted and pushed to the ground by Lewandowsky). Nonetheless she decided — or rather, she was encouraged by Shapiro — to file a formal charge with Florida police against Lewandowsky.

Unsurprisingly, nothing came of the trumped-up (heh) charge. The prosecutor (a Clinton lackey, no less) had no choice but to drop the case, citing lack of evidence for anything other than that Fields appeared in the video to fake a dive.

Lewandowski, they found, ‘reacted and did what he needed to do’ and bruises on Fields’ arm pictured days later were not visible that night

By the way, Trump stayed loyal to Lewandowski during this entire sordid skank-manufactured affair. That alone speaks volumes of Trump’s admirable character (and of his enemies’ lack of character).

This incident (among so many other alpha male-hating, feminist-fueled false accusations over the past few years) demonstrates the corrosive harm that beta male white knights can inflict on society, and on women.

Turning to little Benny Shapiro as an example, here’s a case of a white knight blowing up a woman’s career and killing what was left of her reputation as a reporter because he used his influence as an anhedonic orbiter and eunuch confidant to cajole her to elevate her fake assault game to the next level and file a charge with police (wasting taxpayer dollars in the meantime). Little Benny Shapiro hates the Trumpening and loves Michelle Fields’ cleavage, so he had every motivation to whisper sadistic nothings in her ear. She, being a woman, took the bait.

(I’m getting an image in my head of little Benny Shapiro dabbing bruise makeup on Fields’ arm, giggling like a schoolgirl as they conspire to END TRUMP’S NOMINATION RUN, and then little Benny, insistent boner denting his kid’s size jeans, looks “that way” at Michelle, & she quickly leaves the room.)

A far from exhaustive list of the ways in which white knights are bad for women:

• white knights’ reptilian enticements to pursue futile revenge plots can destroy women’s careers
• white knights’ cloying “m’lady” courtesies can simultaneously inflate women’s egos and deflate women’s labia, rendering them less likeable to the next man to talk to them, and therefore more likely to wind up an aging spinster
• white knights’ quickness to jump to a faire maiden’s rescue when another man is hitting on her can ruin her chances at finding love
• white knights’ ulterior motives (appeasement, flattery, and guardianship for the implied guarantee of sex at a later date) can sour women on all men, creating a resentful belief in women that every congenial interaction with a man is a pretext for sexual exploitation (which tbh is true if the woman in question is a hottie)
• white knightss excessive you-go-grrlisms to their fat female friends can make those fatties insufferable to be around, as they assume every conversation with them is a romantic solicitation, and respond accordingly
• white knights’ unctuous “supportiveness” toward their slutty female friends can convince those sluts to delay settling down to ride the cock carousel, possibly costing them a marriage and family to a quality (read: non-loser) man
• white knights’ unthinking readiness to rush to a bitchy woman’s defense can encourage bitches to stay bitches instead of improving their personalities to attract good men
• white knights’ instant and unquestioning forgiveness of women who have wronged them can create monsters incapable of guilt and tempted to take advantage of weak men for as long as they can get away with it

There is no end to the ways in which not being a white knight is better than being a white knight. The time when white knighting had any personal or social benefit was a long time ago; specifically when Western societies were structured around female deference and low cock counts. In that environment, male chivalry made sense.

Why It’s Called ‘Virtue Signaling’ And Not ‘Virtue’

Cirque du Solei is the most recent entertainment act to boycott North Carolina over a law passed in the state barring mentally ill men in dresses from peeing in front of your daughter in women’s restrooms.

CdS morally preens ans status whores about opposing “discrimination in any form”, (really? discrimination against necrophiliacs too?), but as Breitbart points out, Cirque du Sogay has no plans to cancel its shows in the United Arab Emirates where open homosexuals are put to death.

Cirque du Sashay is one of many examples of shitlib virtue signaling, in which the conspicuous assertion and indulgence of virtuous feeling is more important than virtuous deed. Boycotting a state for an eminently reasonable law to prohibit cross-dressing men from women’s restrooms while continuing to do business in a country that would throw cross-dressing men off buildings to cheering crowds below is as little virtuous as it is greatly hypocritical. Donning a mantle of virtue to impress friends and win plaudits from similarly signaling virtuomos is not the same thing as actual virtue.

There are three psychological motivations compelling shitlib virtue signaling about tranny “””rights””” (this bullet list can be applied to nearly every shitlib cause du jour).

1. Shitlibs don ‘t really believe Arabs (or blacks/mestizos/gypsies/etc) are as evolved, culturally or genetically, as Western Whites, and therefore can’t be expected to adhere to Western morals. Shitlibs are in truth extremely racist and expect more from Whites and less from nonWhites, which is why they punish (as they see it) minor transgressions by BadWhites more severely than major transgressions by NuminousNonwhites.

2. Shitlibs don’t really give a shit about tranny rights, they just want to act self-righteous and gain social status points with their amygdala-stunted SWPL peers. Their virtue, such as it is, is wholly self-aggrandizing in the pursuit of social benefits that will redound to their (awkwardly androgynous) reproductive fitness.

3. Shitlibs are one group of Whites that hate another group of Whites, and their moral causes are merely weaponized rhetoric to lower the social standing of the enemy Whites best situated to be the group that ousts shitlibs from power. Virtue signaling thus accomplishes two fitness-maximizing tasks for the shitlib: raising their own social status and lowering the social status of their most immediate and capable competitors: nonshitlib Whites and shitlib Whites who may grow a pair and stray off the reservation (taking many others with them to foment revolution against the reigning shitlib order). In this motivation, virtue signaling can as reasonably be called ‘virtue warning’.

As the scope of the battles in which shitlibs can morally posture shrinks, the ridiculousness of their causes approaches lunacy. We are reaching the logical end-game of shitlibbery, and it’s nothing less than wholesale normalization of mental illness. One can only guess what’s next on the shitlib plate, but advocacy for “benign” forms of pedophilia and bestiality are certainly a possibility.

“Drink Will Make You Forget You’re A Lady”

The title of this post is something a grandmother would say to her granddaughter warning her against drinking as a gateway to sluttery and morning-after “regret rape”.

On this wonderfully anti-feminist subject, reader pavetack describes a photographer’s social experiment in girls and their drunkenness.

Smooth Gs who can successfully bed sober women earn more of my admiration than womanizers who rely on drunk girls exclusively for their make notch count great again.

Important lesson here for the ladies: If you don’t want to regret sleeping with a man the next day, don’t get drunk with him the night before. Hooch cuts the line between your brain and cooch.

Glancing over the men’s photos, the overriding pattern is “sober serious face” -> “drunk smiley face”. I don’t see many seductive faces appearing on the male mugs. Chicks don’t much dig smiley men, so it may behoove you smoov dudes to move on the gina groove when you’re sober. Otoh, if you’re drunk, the girls you’re with are likely drunk too and probably won’t notice how stupidly you’re smiling at them.

Niceness Will Be The Death Of The White Race

There is a theory to explain the origins of the core population of White cucks. (I use the term “cucks” in its shitlordy colloquial sense to mean White people who express more solidarity with antagonistic nonWhites than they do with their congenial racial kin.) This White cuck theory, associated with the writings of HBDChick, invokes two historical processes to account for the evolved psychological preferences of NW European Whites to feel altruistic urges and a moral duty toward strangers and particularly toward nonWhite strangers:

manorialism and non-kin marriage.

Basically, over a thousand-year period (or less) in the parts of Europe that today correspond to the Germanic nations, Scandinavia, and England, (aka core Europe), outbreeding (cousin marriage was prohibited by the Catholic Church) and circumstantial pressures (e.g., manorialism) that selected for more cooperative and docile individuals created a distinct type of people who are amusingly known by the acronym W.E.I.R.D.O. in social science circles — Western, Educated, Industrialized, Rich, Democratic, and Outbred.

I would add my personal theories to HBDchick’s emphasis on outbreeding and manorialism to explain the development of White universal altruism: the Buffer Zone Theory and The Culling. Core NW Europe, being a core, is surrounded by White nations and White tribes. Over millennia, this “ring of white” lands shielded core Europe from the worst depradations of the nonWhite world. This proto-NATO defense umbrella permitted the rapid selection for supranice Whites within the Bubblecuck region who had rarely had to confront violence on a regular basis from truly foreign-looking and -acting invaders. From other Whites, yes. But not so much from Vibrancy.

The Culling simply states that the great 20th century wars of White fratricide removed the hardiest and least cucked men from the gene pool. I don’t see how a continent’s character emerges unchanged by 80+ million premature deaths.

Whatever their provenance, altruistic WEIRDOS all have psychological traits in common, and one very noticeable commonality is their NICENESS. If you’re American, you’ll encounter this radical niceness in the Midwest and plains states, where White people of Core European lineage settled and multiplied. It’s practically the basis for the humor in the movie Fargo. Nice Germanics and Scandis and Anglos will have nary an unkind word to say about anyone, and warmly welcome any traveler who might wander into their lands. They are trusting (and trustworthy) and are just about the best kind of people to go to for a car repair, financial advice, or contract negotiation. They won’t screw you over, and they (perhaps naively) believe no one means to screw them over.

These are the people, not to put too fine a point on it, who practically built Western Civilization and modern society.

What can one possibly say about them that is less than fulsome praise? There is no end to the ways in which nice people are nicer than not-nice people…

except for one flaw in the WEIRDO algorithm.

One very big flaw.

Possibly an existential flaw that will negate every good thing achieved by these NiceWhites.

Their gullibility.

(Throw in a predilection for sanctimony, and you’ve got all the ingredients for supreme cuckitry.)

I agree with John Derbyshire that Midwestern NiceWhiteness “is America’s Achilles heel, and will bring down our civilization one day.” It’s becoming more apparent that these niceguy White cucks will go to their golly gee willikers graves dispensing unreciprocated niceness on the world’s ingrate riff raff, and in their misdirected zeal to be nice to the world’s 7 billion not-nice schemers and dirty dealers, they’ll take America down with them.

The Trumpening is illustrative. Twatter renegade @Ricky_Vaughn99 compiled a list of the state-by-state share of pro-Trump vs anti-Trump White ethnic groups that can be used to predict Trump wins.

The anti-Trump NiceWhites are mostly inside-the-Hajnal, core NW European ethnicities. (Keep in mind these are the cucks who happily voted for Marco Lubio, and who love open borders nutjob John Cucksich. Ironically, fake phony fraudulent slimeball Ted Cruz is a beneficiary of cuck love. Like I said, gullible.)

The pro-Trump Whites who love his fighting spirit, properly directed decency, and straight talk are borderlands, periphery, Southern, and Central/Eastern European ethnicities. These are the Whites who get, at least on a gut level, the danger posed to survival by the mass migration of alien peoples who have nothing in common with the White-centric heritage of America.

There might be an intervention which could save NiceWhites from themselves, and thereby save America and the West: forced integration with the blessings of Diversity™. You’ll note most NiceWhites live in very White states. And most RealWhites — Whites who are less gullible about the realities of the world and who prefer Realtalk over Poopytalk — live with or near nonWhite Diversity.

The hypothetical remedial emerges: expose the NiceWhites to those vibrant characters they claim represent “who we are”, let stew for a generation or two, and voila!… hardened shitlords speaking openly about the coming RaHoWa and assuming the aliases of ancestral Viking berserkers and Visigoth barbarians.
